Beautiful unique house with a taste of wilderness

This is a peaceful little getaway with a lot of options. The home is nestled in the trees right on the Willow Creek Greenbelt, with a trail, ancient trees, and babbling Willow creek. The greenbelt is accessed from the back of the lot. Amidst the beautiful juniper, piñon, and ponderosa pines on the lot are beautiful mountain views from the back yard and the house. It a perfect place to reconnect with nature. There is a steep staircase (with a sturdy hand rail) to the bedroom to be aware of.

We are off-grid and off the map, PACK IT IN (bring your own bedding, towels, ice, flashlights, there’s NO ELECTRICITY), PACK IT OUT (take your trash). Heating is a fireplace. We provide hot water, a grill & cookstove, propane, firewood & emergency phone texting. —Contact us for more details or about our pet policy. Rental proceeds go to renovation of the historical site.

Great access to Great Sand Dunes National Park, hot springs, hiking, 14ers, spiritual centers, Alligator Farm, and UFO tower. A short drive to downtown Crestone!

The Rustic La Garita Cabin

This 1000sq ft cabin in the country with a very rural setting. It is quiet and relaxing, has a wood stove and is close to outdoor activities. Penitent Canyon, La Garita, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, 4wheeling, ATV trails, snowmobiling, skiing (Wolf Creek is 50 min drive). It has a canal running by in the summer. Self-serve breakfast with home-made yogurt, home-made granola, home-made bread for toast, local grown organic eggs, (hot coffee, chocolate, tea) on request.

Sleeps 6. Cabin is completely off grid, w/solar system, well, and propane cooking and heating appliances. Washer/dryer for use with generator. Mountain Home Reservoir for fishing 5 min, 30 min from Great Sand Dunes National Park. 75 min to Red River, NM ski resort and Red River Brewery, 10 minutes to Fort Garland. Expansive Sangre de Cristo views from the front porch. Plenty of wildlife including mule deer, elk, and more.
