Wendale Barn is a beautifully renovated, compact, detached building, the perfect place to relax on the edge of Cheddar. With private patio, decking & stunning views of the local lake & Glastonbury Tor. Private, romantic, the ideal getaway, with a double bed upstairs & sofa-bed in the living room; although it is open plan, so the shared space isn’t private. Access is via a series of steps up the hillside, some garden terraces are up to 1.1m high without guardrails, there is also a shallow pond.

The Stableblock at Gothelney Farm

In the Somerset countryside, the Stableblock is part of Gothelney Farm - a family run farm, focusing on producing food for people that is mindful of both their health & the health of our ecosystem & climate. The fields around the Stableblock are home to our pasture-fed rare breed pigs & also grow cereals used by local bakers, including at the Field Bakery - situated just next to the Stableblock! We hope that being at the heart of the Farm adds to your experience whilst staying with us.

On the edge of nature reserves this is perfect for cyclists and bird watchers. In the winter months you can witness the famous murmurations. Rooks Nest is a cosy self contained cottage for 4-6 people. There is a separate kitchen, lounge/diner with a 43” TV (Netflix) A private enclosed court yard garden with outdoor dining. There is a ground floor bathroom and shower. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom with smart TV. A 2nd bedroom with single/twin beds, and a secured access to a outside balcony area with loungers. A double sofa bed in lounge. To the front of the cottage there is private parking for 2 cars.

Cassia is a bespoke Shepherds Hut, constructed August 2021. Situated on Stockland marshes perfect for walking and bird watching , a quiet retreat to get away from it all. The coast is five minutes drive away. This area boasts one of the UK’s largest new wetland reserves, providing habitat for a mix of wetland wildlife, including otters, wildfowl, owls and waders, migrating birds are an attraction and varied wildlife including dear can often be spotted.
