Our cottage is conveniently located for our guests to enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway, New River Trail State Park, Historic downtowns of Hillsville, Galax, and Mt. Airy, Floyd Fest, the Fiddler’s Convention, and of course, the Hillsville Flea Market.

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Blue Ridge Parkway, soaking tub, hot tub, internet, coffee, hiking, and a view in Fancy Gap. What is needed for Glamping? Clothes, food, We have everything else covered! I own a nice fishing spot 3 miles away that my guests are welcome to. Mother Earth is super comfy with plush blankets washed between each stay, comfortable seating and open the dome to enjoy that fresh mountain air, and stargaze! There is a propane fireplace and a minisplit for heat/ac. A queen bed, and sleeper sofa.

This cute little home is conveniently located in a nice quiet community just a short distance off of I-77. With the elevation approx 3200', you are sure to have nice cool weather most of the time. There are lots of activities and places to visit within a short distance. The New River/trail, Buffalo Mtn, and (Mayberry) Mt Airy, Nc are just a few. Mark of Design Farmhouse Retreat

2020 marks the 100-year-old birthday to this charming farmhouse, located on a working horse farm within the town of Hillsville. It has been meticulously redecorated in 2015-16, with an elegantly simple flavor. The peace and quiet of this country setting is unsurpassed. You’ll love watching horses over your morning coffee. The house sleeps 8 and there is table seating for 21, in case family stops by. Ask about the horse whispering experience.
