It boasts a shaded 'al fresco' area at the rear, a sun drenched garden in the front, and is set in a small hamlet with ancient cobbled traffic-less roads. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

The Arches - a beautifully renovated apartment

'The Arches' is a beautiful, traditional Garfagnana home. The building is around 500 years old, and is thought to be at the very heart of the original Cardoso, with the village growing around this centre over the next few centuries. Recently restored, the house has many original features, including wooden beams, terracotta tiles and its two distinctive arches. Quality features complement this history in the form of two modern bathrooms, central heating and a contemporary kitchen.
