Nearby activities include New River fishing, Blue Ridge Parkway hiking, public golf, and visiting agri-tourism farms with Christmas trees, apples, pumpkins, honey, and more.

Nestled on a secluded acre just 5 minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway, our cabin offers an opportunity to take in the beauty and quiet of nature while still conveniently close to downtown Boone. Rest, unplug, and spend quality time with your loves ones in our mountain escape.

Sleeping Bear Cabin - Lake and New River Fun

Sleeping Bear Cabin is nestled away in a private mountain community that has it's own lake and just a two minute drive to the New River at the entrance of the community. The cabin is surrounded by forest with a main deck and an upper deck. Just recently remodeled and redecorated, we designed Sleeping Bear to be the perfect place for anyone to enjoy the mountain life. Fishing, walking, biking, hiking, tubing, kayaking, bird, butterfly, wildlife watchers and 35 -45 minutes to skiing.

Cabin in the Woods

The Cabin is at 2,500' elevation, ceiling fans to keep you cool. For winter, central heat or fireplace keeps you warm. Full kitchen. Our place is very quiet. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, New River, the Wilkesboros, West Jefferson, Boone (30 min.), Virginia Creeper Trail (1 hr.), W. Kerr Scott Lake. We think you will enjoy the coziness and mountain views. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers. We do not allow children, pets, smoking or outdoor fires.

HOUSE IS FINE❤️ Only damage we had was massive trees on driveway.❤️ The view is AMAZING. 6 1/2 Acres Nestled in Blue Ridge Mountains. Blue Ridge Parkway home is situated in the mountains of North Carolina, less than a .3 mile hidden driveway ON the Blue Ridge Parkway. The sunsets are amazing. Just take a scenic drive along the Parkway and enjoy many of the overlooks and views from all around! The home is a perfect place to recharge.

There are plenty of activities nearby, like skiing at Appalachian Ski Mountain, hiking to Elk Mountain Overlook, and the Watauga County Farmer's Market. At day's end, enjoy dinner outdoors and a dip in the hot tub.
