'Waterfront' on 1796 Historic Farm

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem! The Springhouse is nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia’s Wine Country! Originally constructed in the early 1800's, the structure was built over a natural spring that was used for refrigeration. Water from the spring maintains a constant cool temperature throughout the year while also filling a pond. The original stone well, channel and stone flooring are all intact for guests to explore and experience how our ancestors lived.

Enjoy your stay in this fabulous pool house located in a quiet neighborhood. Relax poolside during the day and enjoy the outdoor bar and kitchen for cocktails at sunset. Breathtaking views all around. Just 50 minutes from Baltimore and Washington DC and 10 minutes to historic downtown Frederick. Hikes, Harper's Ferry, Ski Liberty, or just the quiet of our bucolic setting await. It can also be a part of a larger retreat when combined with 2 other farmhouses on the farm, and a restored Dairy Parlor venue. It's a great place to host friends, family, and more. You can join one of our farm-based education classes too.
