Donegal Cottage in lush countryside

Donegal was voted the "Coolest place on the planet’ by National Geographic. Our stone cottage is a restored farm building ( circa 1852 ), it is part of our home property, close to the main house. The restoration has a modern touch with tranquil decor. Our property is primate and secluded, in the countryside of rich farmlands of Donegal. Beltany Circle is 5 minutes walk and the historic village of Raphoe makes this the ideal location from which to explore the magic of ‘coolest Donegal’

Located just a 10-minute drive from Letterkenny, this charming loft is a quaint, cute, fully equipped, self-catering, one-bedroom overlooking the Lough Swilly. It's in a safe and secure tranquil countryside location that provides an ideal base to explore the Donegal sector of the Wild Atlantic Way. Strabane is a great base for visiting the North-West including Tyrone Donegal and Derry. From great value shopping in Foyelside to some special treats in McElhinney’s Department Store in Ballybofey and exploring history at the Ulster American Folk Park Omagh, Tower Museum and The Giant's Causeway there is a wealth of things to see and do. This cosy three bedroom house with views of the town, is within walking distance of Strabane town centre, Golf Club, local Hotel, Bars and Restaurants.

The first thing that any visitors say is ‘that’s someview’, hence we named it SomeView. Up to four guests plus a baby can relax in a beautiful scenic area. Standing 600 feet above sea level with approximately 20 Donegal mountains in view. We are set in a quiet country road with easy 10 minute access to City of Derry airport and the city centre. It’s also only a short distance to some of Walkni’s recommended short walks - Ness Park, Beechill Woodland, Muff Glen to name a few.

Our location is central Donegal and is the perfect base for exploring beautiful countryside ,heritage and the Wild Atlantic Way. The cottage is located in Stragally Co Donegal between the towns of Ballybofey and Glenties which offer many shops pubs, restaurants, traditional music etc.
