The Sassafras Breeze

The Sassafras is our most private cabin. Secluded at the end of a driveway, it is surrounded by nature. One can hear the mountain streams from the large, covered porch. The furnishings are appropriately rustic yet modern in every since of the word. Free, dependable, high-speed, fiber internet and a smart TV are just two of the recent upgrades. In winter enjoy the floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace. Hike to a mountain top or visit a rushing stream...all without leaving the property.

We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Fishing, tubing, hiking, whitewater, horseback riding you name it, this area has it. You can catch your limit of Rainbow or Browns without starting your car. Hike to waterfalls or do a stretch of the Appalachian Trail.

The Portlandia Suite is a large 1 bedroom private apartment with full kitchen and full living room, fold out couch and full bath.
