Historic Cottage in a Kentish Village

Old Wood Cottage is a charming, historic, Grade II-listed cottage located in the pretty and peaceful village of Leigh. Leigh is situated between Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Leigh is surrounded by farmland with lots of wonderful rural walks to other villages and opportunities for pub lunches and days out. Leigh is accessible to London via train. OWC is a detached, 5 bedroom/3 bathroom house which faces on the village green. OWC dates from the 1650's and has wood beams throughout.

The Ashdale Bee is the perfect place to relax and explore the local area of Battlesbridge, a picturesque village in the Crouch Valley. Visit the famous antiques centre, walk or paddle along the river or enjoy some food and drink in one of the many country pubs. Jump on the train and travel along the Crouch Valley line to vineyards, more river walks or the quiet, unspoiled, riverside town of Burnham on Crouch. Alternatively, travel in the opposite direction and London awaits within 40mins.

The studio has a private entrance from your own south facing balcony overlooking trees and the artistic apartment overlooks the garden with far sea view. Close to Anglia and C2C stations from London with convenient bus and airport links. Full fibre wi-fi. TV with Netflix as well as fridge, microwave, toaster + kettle for light snacks. The spacious bathrooms have bathtub and shower. We provide tea, coffee and biscuits and self check in.

Our wiggly tin hut is for two people (and of course a dog). It nestles in its own secure space within a pretty cottage garden in the centre of a pretty kent village Sleeping is on a very comfy memory foam double bed. There is an ensuite shower room, basin and wc, a small kitchen with 2 ring gas hob, butlers sink, fridge and combination microwave/oven. Outside there is a bbq and garden furniture. Great pubs locally, one just 1/2 mile away. Another 20 minutes walk. The walks are amazing!
