Our cozy, open plan house is stocked with everything you need for a great time, and has a dock with seasonal access to the lake. Explore Lavonia, hit the beach at Tugaloo Park, or just take advantage of your Gumlog Getaway: hang by the firepit, fish off the dock, or chill on the back deck with some games, whatever your vacation heart desires.

Come and experience a little getaway on Lake Hartwell. This is a cute little house, perfect for families or just getting away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta or Charlotte. There is fishing and you can go swimming in the cove. there's is plenty of parking available on my driveway for your boat SUV or other vehicles. Walmart and Ingles is about 8.2 miles from the house. drive into the city of Hartwell and experience some of the local dining. I left some brochures of my favorite restaurants.

Feel like you are in the trees, in an area much as it was when inhabited by Cherokee Indians. Stream feeds into Lake Hartwell. In the summer months on the weekends and holidays kayaks, jet skis and small boats visit the falls. This property is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The mostly glass design with great views of nature and the lake, and a 7 minute bike ride to Tugaloo State Park. Jump in the kayak around sunset and within 15 minutes be kayaking in untouched nature. At night you can relax and listen to the crickets, and frogs while chasing the fireflies with little manmade lights.

The house is located just 20 minutes from both Clemson and Anderson and also just 5 minutes from Portman Marina. Kayaks do not come included with the house but can be rented if inquired about ahead of time. Come enjoy some nature, relaxation, and fun at the Lake Escape!

Shady Rest

As you enter the screened in front porch you will instantly relax, experience a peaceful and quiet tree lined front yard. The house has plenty of shade and old oaks, built in 1935 has the charm of visiting great grandmother’s farm house without the wallpaper. Large side deck with grill, hot tub and plenty of shaded sitting. Side yard has a fire pit for evening campfires and roasting marshmallows. The house has an open floor plan.
