The Cottage is located across the street from the ocean, and surrounded by the forest. Quiet and private space to relax and unwind. Spend time among the redwoods near the fish pond in our elegant modern retreat with many artistic custom elements. Let the tension from the road melt away in our hot tub and spa like rain shower, then relax on our comfortable California King beds. Located in an upscale quiet neighborhood in the hills above Arcata, near extensive redwood hiking trails. Unwind in our sheltered outdoor living room, with a fire pit by the pond. Please keep voices low out of consideration for the neighbors.

Arcata Hearth

We are an urban homestead complete with a permaculture-inspired garden, chickens, and bees we invite you to enjoy. We provide our guests with eggs, milk, coffee, tea, pastries and fruit. All our cleaning products are non-toxic. The Arcata Community forest where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll or an active long run is just down the street. Our home is close to the beach, downtown Arcata, and Humboldt State University. You’ll love our location, your hosts, the views, and our garden.

Paradise Falls Guest Suite

Relax and rejuvenate in our cozy guest suite. The room boasts a large living area, comfortable furnishings and a calming atmosphere. With all the luxuries and privacy of a hotel suite, we also boast beautiful gardens and a waterfall cascading down into a koi pond to enjoy. The suite has a private entrance and is situated at the end of the a quiet street in a upscale, safe neighborhood. We are 5 minutes to shopping and dinning and another five to the fabulous Moonstone Beach.

On the Hammond Coastal Trail, cozy Bedroom Suite with Private Entry, Expanded Kitchenette, Full Bath, Deck, Yard, Off-Street Parking. Set back hidden from the street in bamboo groves, it’s private and peaceful. Walk or Bike to nearby river, beaches, forest. Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. Your comfort is very important to me!

Modern Redwood Retreat with a huge yard

Whether you are adventuring or passing through, this charming retreat has everything you need. It's located down a quiet country road that feels far away from town but is only 4 easy miles from Arcata, home of Cal Poly Humboldt, and 6 miles to Eureka. The clean and freshly decorated space has a queen-sized bed and a full-size futon-style couch. Both beds have been reported as VERY comfortable!

Come to the cool coast to enjoy this separate, private space. Check yourself in whenever you like via your own entrance. Vaulted ceilings, a romantic gas fireplace, remote work desk with strong wi-f and a kitchen. Your private yard includes a hot tub and lovely landscaping. From here you can easily access the redwoods, the beach or town - create your own colorful Humboldt experience.
