Stand alone studio style suite set on a private lake. We offer 2 night minimum stays.The studio suite includes a kitchen and comfortable livingroom. Queen bed ,queen pull out sofa and roll away cot. Playpen available on request. Large shower, gas fireplace and air conditioning . Stroll around the beautiful grounds and enjoy all inclusive canoe,paddleboards and paddle boat with no rental fees. Guest suite also offers wifi and a 52 inch t.v and satellite. Please note we do not have extra fees.

Relax with the family lakeside and among the cedars at this peaceful A-frame retreat on the shoreline of Lake Huron. The door opens up into a large living room and kitchen with a 180 degree view of the lake. An 8-foot island surrounded by bar stools anchors the kitchen. Watch the famous Lake Huron sunsets while having a meal or soaking in the hot tub. Our front is a rocky beach with a fire pit. We swim here with our water shoes. The sandy beach is a 2 mins drive or a 5-10 min bike ride.

Our ideal guests are families with or without kids.

Our cottage is family friendly. We have initiated additional cleaning protocols for your safety.

1920’s Original Kintail Beach Cottage

This was the first cottage on Kintail Beach built in approximately 1920 of cedar shiplap. It has been recently renovated and furnished but retains its rustic appeal. Enjoy beautiful views of Lake Huron from the screened in porch, have a BBQ, or relax on the beach! The beach is approximately 50 steps down a gravel path from the cottage. This property is situated on the banks of the Saugeen River in the town of Durham. Guests will have full use of the 1 1/2 story bungalow, landscaped lot and private beach area. A short stroll up the street takes you to McGowan's Falls and access to the Durham Conservation Area, with its public beaches and hiking trails. The Durham Art Gallery is a stone's throw away, as are public tennis and basketball courts.
