MacLeod Cove is a 3-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. It typically has good cell phone coverage and we have wifi. Our apartment is situated with easy highway access and is a short five-minute drive to downtown Sydney and a 45 minute drive to the Cabot Trail.

Melinda's mountain retreat, dog & family friendly.

Melinda moved to Cape Breton in 1974 from Tennessee. She married a local, opened a small hair salon, and raised a big garden and four children. Up until suffering a major stroke in 2021, she was an avid swimmer and cross country skier. But, most of all she loved connecting with all kinds of different people, young and old. Although severely limited from the stroke, she still enjoys meeting people and seeing family and friends.
