Inverness Writer's Den

Tranquil getaway designed by William Turnbull (Sea Ranch) with Garden views and glimpses of Tomales Bay. This hideaway is near spectacular sites and beaches such as the Tule Elk Reserve and Abbotts Lagoon. Just a 3-5 minute walk to Chicken Ranch Beach, Kayaking, and a short drive to the finest restaurants in the region. Our warm king-sized master bedroom and queen-sized guest bed in the library welcome you back from the day's excursions whether it hiking, biking, yoga, or simply doing nothing.

Rustic Beach Cottage with Hot Tub on Tomales Bay

Riley Beach Cottage sits on stilts just a few feet above the east shore of Tomales Bay. The great room, master bedroom, hot tub and northwest facing redwood decks all provide land's end views of Point Reyes National Seashore across this pristine estuary. With its own beach for launching kayaks or just doing nothing, this cottage has been a favorite due to its proximity to the water, front-row views of nature and simplicity. The Perch

Overlooking a fern grotto and redwood valley, The Perch, our newly renovated room lets you experience nature up close. Come unwind and luxuriate in nature. Limited cell service. The room INSIDE has a bed, toilet, sink, mini-fridge, microwave, and electric hot water kettle. OUTSIDE a claw foot tub/shower, private deck & outside kitchen with a gas burner stove. Very rural. Soak in the hot tub, Sauna, or relax on your private covered porch right outside your bedroom with gas fire pit, glider chairs with blankets for warmth. Just remodeled 2025 the bedroom, new paint, new carpet, and new covered year round porch! Robes and slippers provided while you stay. 5 mins down the road is Roy’s Redwoods for hiking close by Or 30 mins. to Pt. Reyes, Mt. Tam, & beaches.

Oysters are minutes away at Nicks, Tony’s, or Hogs Island. Absolutely gorgeous area~ only 1/2 hr from Petaluma but I definitely dropped out! Perfect for a romantic weekend. Close to Blue Water Kayak rental, Pt Reyes National Seashore, Marconi Center Clean, cozy, and adorable!

NOTE: single nights are available ONLY when the adjacent nights are booked. Pets are welcome, at $5 per night per pet. The $40 pet deposit is returnable within 24 hours of your departure (so make sure I have your address). Pet fees are due by cash or check on arrival.

3 Bedroom home in quiet and beautiful Point Reyes

Our house is in a small quiet col de sac. 5 minute walk from Point Reyes downtown with shops, market, and Tomales Bay Foods. You have access to the house, living room space, both front and backyard and washer dryer in the garage. It is our primary home and some of personal items may be accessible in the common areas and we ask that you please be respectful.
