Needing a rural place to get away? This cozy 1 1/2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house that sleeps 8 has a front row seat to the beauty of The Ohio River. Relax on one of our decks, relax river side by the outdoor fire pit, or watch the barge traffic from inside. The house sits within minutes of The Hoosier National Forest offering hiking / fishing and a peaceful atmosphere, 50 minutes from Holiday World, and 55 minutes from French Lick. Barn stay @ Goose Creek Chalet

This unique barn/log cabin was constructed by a creative craftsman Tom Kirkman. This home has been published in a book " From White House to Amish." The property has two separate lofts. The south loft has a master bedroom with French doors leading to a soaker tub and shower. The north side loft has two bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with two full size beds. The main floor has 30' cathedral ceilings, freestanding fireplace suspended on chains, 16' dining table, custom kitchen.

Centrally located, you are not far from Holiday World, Jasper, Lincoln City, Patoka Lake and Historic Huntingburg. The Master Bedroom boasts a king-size bed. The living area has two twin beds, TV, WiFi and Kitchen. This space is perfect for singles, couples, or small families. Most love the spiral staircase and large deck.

Ellie's Escape is named for our oldest daughter who loves to travel. She has traveled with us since she was an infant and will pick up in a moment's notice to hit the road. This completely renovated and updated 1 Bedroom ground floor apartment is part of a historic home built in 1900. At nearly 1,000 square feet, it is much larger and certainly more comfortable than your typical hotel room. Located in the downtown historic district, it is walking distance to shops, restaurants and more.

The Getaway House

Welcome to our Get Away House. Located on the edge of Loogootee, it is a very peaceful area and yet close to the local stores and restaurants. Relax with the family and spend the evening on the back patio. With two bedrooms and one bathroom, this single level home is perfect for your night away. PLEASE READ! Due to a recent storm, the back fence was damaged and has been removed and we are waiting for the new fence to be installed.
