First of - Kathy’s Kottage offers a uniquely private, warm and inviting detached cottage. We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We are proud of the Kottage as shown in every review over the last four years.

Enjoy a quiet stay in the unique Barker neighborhood. The property, a second floor apartment, with its own outside entrance, has a deep, open backyard with gardens and a patio. The apartment has been recently renovated with literary and Lawrence themes, and offers a short walk to the 1900 Barker Bakery, and is close to downtown, the East Lawrence Arts District, Allen Fieldhouse, and the KU campus. Beautiful second story apparent in a small commercial building tucked into the North Lawrence neighborhood, just a stones throw from downtown Lawrence and the Kansas River. Trail access for cycling, walking or running are right out the back door along the Kansas River Levee and the Lawrence River Trail, a ~10 mile single track trail along the wooded north shore of the river.
