Settlers' Rest lodge is situated on a privately-run game in the malaria-free bushveld of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It offers a home away from home and is an ideal destination for the whole family to get back to nature. Settlers' Rest is only 30km from Grahamstown and easily accessible to most vehicles. The farm sports a large variety of indigenous game and birds. Self-drive, hike or cycle around the farm or relax on our veranda with breath-taking views over the Eastern Cape bush.

Ideal for family weekends in Grahamstown, this lovely open-plan home has 3 spacious bedrooms and 2,5 bathrooms that can accommodate 6 guests. This home has been designed around the outdoor living area and is enhanced by the pool for hot summer days and the roaring fireplace for cold winter nights. The kitchen is fully equipped to enable special dinners for family and friends, or you can have a braai on the patio. The house is ideally located for St Andrews, DSG and Kingswood schools.

Graceland Country Retreat

Graceland Country Retreat is situated on a farm, 10km's from the centre of Grahamstown. Suitable for groups or individuals looking for a peaceful, country getaway, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling or simply relaxing. The house is completely off grid. Sparkling spring water is supplied to the house and fills the indoor solar heated pool. Evening sunsets are spectacular. The space is ideal for family gatherings. It is also suitable as a retreat centre.

21 St Aidens

Nestled in a quiet, leafy cul de sac, 21 St Aidens is a newly renovated home away from home. The house is rented as a single unit and is ideally suited for 2 couples and 2 singles . Perfectly positioned for visiting Rhodes, DSG/St Andrews, Grahamstown festival amongst others - with space to either work or relax! Outdoor entertainment area links into large, equipped kitchen and living spaces perfect for children and friends. Fully secure. WIFI and DSTV available on request.

The Homestead at Lands End

The Homestead is situated on a family owned and operated game farm. Sleeping 25 people in 6 bedrooms. With fresh Roosterbrood on arrival, you can relax on the hammock, while watching the kids swimming in the pool or wood-fired hot tub, it is the perfect retreat for large families who all want to be together under one roof. Have a dip in the Kariega River, go hiking, fishing, mountain biking, bird watching or game viewing and enjoy spendings your days under our African sky.

Uniondale Lodge, Fort Governor's Estate

Uniondale Lodge is situated in the 10,000HA Fort Governor's Estate game reserve just outside Grahamstown. The Lodge has been recently re-vamped and provides all the home-away-from-home comforts that you need. It is the ideal getaway for a group of friends or families looking to relax, unwind and spend time in nature. PLEASE NOTE : Access to all our lodges is via a farm dirt road. We are a working farm so road conditions are variable.
