A rare “John Scott” an architectural dream

We would love to welcome you to our unique John Scott home/apartment (with radiators!). The New Zealand Architect, John Scott, was an eccentric chap and was renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we are excited to share it with the air bnb community. A self contained wing of our home is located in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We are a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

A quiet, cosy, two bedroom, centrally heated unit. Enjoy the large geothermal hot pool. A full sized pool table, smart tv, wifi. A small kitchenette to prepare light meals and snacks, plus a small, private cottage garden to enjoy native birds and trees. Taupo is 50 minutes drive from our home. We are in easy reach of some of NZ's' most stunning hikes. An Easy 35 minutes to Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro Crossing, plus local river walks, supermarket and eateries 10 mins. Lovely, 1-bedroom, self contained unit, double glazed windows. Own courtyard in a sunny garden, the courtyard includes a private area for you to lockup 2 bikes. Close to Taupo lake and town. This unit is in the lower part of our home, which is a 2-storey building. Your access, courtyard and living areas are all completely separate from ours, with off street parking. Your privacy during your stay is our utmost consideration and therefore we take all steps necessary to leave you to relax.
