We offer you a private, warm, small quiet space neatly contained on the ground floor of our family home. Our quiet street sits right above the ocean where you can hear the lapping waves of the Tasman sea from your private courtyard, and have unlimited views out to the horizon. You'll want a camera for the sunsets. The entrance to the room is separate from the entrance to our house, so one has complete privacy. We offer modern bicycles for guest use at the cost of $20 per day, per bike.

We offer a fully furnished, fully equipped self catering unit on ground level with own entrance. Designated off street parking. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, supplied on arrival. Own back yard with outdoor seating. Owners live above. We are 3 minutes drive to the city center, restaurants, cafes, museums, beaches and the Coastal walkway and approx. 40 minutes drive to Mt Egmont/Taranaki. There is a bus stop to the city just across the road & a designated cycle lane East & West of us

The Chocolate Box Stay sits on an elevated section with a bushy background. It is a full home away from home suitable for single or family groups, a wonderful relaxing place to stay. There are two bedrooms , one with a queen bed, the second with a queen and a single bed. Also a sofa bed in a sunroom , which has heavy curtains , for privacy from the lounge It is located close to the scenic coastal walkway, Ngamotu beach & playground, Mt Paritutu, and Back Beach for walking and maybe a surf.

Our guests are able to take the opportunity to slow down and relax in their own private patio, where they are free to enjoy a nice beverage at the end of the day. We live upstairs, but the downstairs area is private with a seperate entrance. Walk towards the sea and turn left along the walkway towards the Port, Ngamotu Beach and cafes. Turn right on the walkway and a 10 minute walk away is the Aquatic Centre and Destination Kāwaroa.
