Nestled in the mountains with a beautiful pond right outside your door. We reside on the property yet a fair distance from the cabin.

Cottage at Galusha Hill Farm, a secluded retreat

Solar-powered, this off-the-grid refuge sleeps up to five guests, in the same party, in a large lofted upstairs bedroom (Queen and Bunkbed) with private bath, and a pull-out futon downstairs, also with separate bath. A traditional Russian masonry stove with a bread oven keeps the Cottage cozy when the nights get chilly. A fully outfitted kitchen awaits one’s culinary whims, and an outdoor grill is available for outdoor dining on a 1000 square foot deck overlooking the pond.

With its long range views, it is secluded and surrounded by 150 acres of sweeping lawns, untamed forests, tall pines and a swimmable pond. Hiking trails begin off the back yard. Walk down our driveway to Locust Creek where you can swim, fish or just watch the river flow. Woodstock, Silver Lake and the iconic Barnard General Store are just minutes away.

Enjoy the summer in beautiful Vermont. The guest area is the entire main floor of a large house with my quiet second home above. Private entrance, 2 bedrooms, full bathroom with washer and dryer, speedy fiber optic internet. The open kitchen has full sized stove and fridge with good cookware and appliances, adjacent to a large open living area. On a paved scenic road. Go up to Silver Lake for a swim, head out on any of the back roads for a run or a ride.
