Nestled beside a babbling brook (originating from springs on the property) that meanders and feeds into the lake. Watch horses graze from the porch, beautiful sunrises/sunsets, spring/summer firefly shows, rolling hillsides frequently spotted with cattle, beautiful fall foliage, nice trails with rock outcroppings, a small waterfall, and a fallen original homestead. Get away from it all! The Blue Ridge Parkway & I-77 are 8 miles , hwy 221 is 2 miles. Pet friendly. Soak in the huge soaking tub,listen to the creek thru the window. This stocked creek is noisy and fun to wade, fish and float in. The yurt is on a gated property. The driveway is biker friendly, and in the blue ridge mountains. The area has lots of backroads with accessible places to go on atvs. We do provide a side by side for an additional fee. The yurt is 2 mls from Kanawha Valley Arena.

“It’s 5 O’Clock Here!” Beautiful, cozy, waterfront, pet-friendly cabin with a 4-person HOT TUB, gas-log fireplace, and outdoor firepit with wood provided! Our cabin has memory foam mattress beds, one queen and one full, and a kitchen. We provide cookware, Keurig coffee maker, linens, and towels. Very relaxing, next to a stocked pond and the Blue Ridge Parkway! Enjoy the loft, accessible by indoor ladder. Great wineries, breweries, bluegrass music, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking nearby.

Historic One Room Schoolhouse

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful historic one room schoolhouse built in 1903 situated on 13 acres. It was originally built as a Sunday School room but was later used as the community schoolhouse. Two original blackboards are still in the main room, along with numerous children's carvings on the original walls.The schoolhouse has been updated with a kitchen, bedroom, 1 1/2 bathrooms and a large wrap around deck. The headwaters of the Dan River can be seen and heard from the deck.

The house is just a short walk from Dan River, which can be easily viewed from the front porch. Surrounded by grassy fields which border the river, relax and unwind. Bring your own fishing equipment and tubes and let the fun begin. Take a hike or a leisurely walk. The night sky is great for stargazing or sitting on the porch listening to the tranquil sounds of the river. On cool nights snuggle by the fireplace, read a book, watch a little TV or play your favorite board games.

Sleeps 6+ comfortable with two large decks to enjoy rain or shine while you listen to the flowing waters of the Smith River. Gated 300+ acres community, go for long walks, fish in river, float down the river or just sit on the deck and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Pool table, air hockey, and corn hole keeps the kids busy.

Please note that there is a $50 added fee for pets that is passed on to our cleaners.
