Unique Elizabethan cottage on Pheasant Mountain

Holder's Cottage is a traditional timber-framed structure that sits on 150 acres of woodland at the side of a small country road, fifteen minutes from Elkins and forty minutes from Thomas. The cottage is heated with wood, so winter guests should be comfortable operating a wood stove (or interested in learning!). We can demonstrate operation if necessary. For stays of more than a month, policies change regarding cleaning, amenities provided, and security deposit. Please inquire.

This rustic, countryside getaway has good views of the surrounding WV mountains with easy access to the quiet country road. It was constructed from timber grown, harvested and milled on the farm's antique sawmill. Wildlife is frequently sighted- from different species of birds to deer, squirrels and chipmunks.
