Relax in our private guest area locked off from the rest of our home including a kitchenette and laundry area, all separated from the rest of the house by a custom built and locking doorway. We accept dogs but cannot accept cats due to other guests’ allergies. There is a pet fee.

This affordable option was originally built as railroad worker housing, and I bought it as a raft guide/teacher over 15 years ago, and used it as my first home and base for adventure. The Speakeasy Condo is located in the historic District of Downtown Salida, CO. The location provides easy walking to all downtown restaurants and bars. The Arkansas River runs through town a block away and the downtown park and amphitheater is within earshot. The condo is the newly remodeled second floor of a 1899 built historic building, come enjoy our town and the historic beginning of Colorado mountain living.

My place is about 15 to 20 minutes to restaurants and family-friendly activities in Salida. We are about 30 minutes to Mount Princeton Hot Springs and 30 minutes to Monarch Ski Resort. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). We also have a propane grill for you to use.
