Secret Cabin Hvítárdalur

Perfect stay for exploring south Iceland and enjoy nature and the northern lights in winter. Beautiful cabin by the river Hvítá in a prime location in the Golden Circle. Near Gullfoss and Geysir and only 100 km to the capital city Reykjavík. The cabin can accommodate 2-4 persons. One bedroom with beds for two people. In the living room there is a pull-out sofa for two persons. The kitchen is fully stocked. The bathroom has a shower and the laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer.

About 50 km east of Vik and 30 km west of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. 7.5 km from the ring road no 1. Most nature attractions in the central south Iceland are within 95 minutes drive from us. It is located in one of the most beautiful part of Iceland on a 140 hectares of land, in between the two big glaciers in the south Vatnajökull and Mýrdalsjökull.

The perfect locations to take day tours to the Glacier Lagoon or the Black beach in Vik with Vatnajökull National Park in the backyard. Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. A lovely apartment next to many of the most famous attractions on Iceland such as Seljavallalaug, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara and much more. Only 25 minutes drive to Vík. The apartment is named after the hag Gilitrutt wich is a folktale about a hag that supposingly lived in the mountain behind the apartment. In the bedrooms are windows up high with a nice view of that mountain which name is Rauðafell.

my house is warm and cozy 3 small bedrooms, two with one queen size ,(160 cm) bed and one with a dbl, 140 cm bed. the house is very well equipped with towels, bedding, cooking ware and bathroom appliances.
