Original features include a huge 18th century stone fireplace and slate floors, alongside modern comforts such as a wood burning stove, open plan kitchen, shower room and king size bed (+travel cot on request). The cottage is set in a private garden with views of fields and trees. Private parking. Inverness is a vibrant area perfect for the beginning of the NC500.

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

Short walk to hotel with bar & restaurant, café, local grocery shop/post office, bakers & gift shop. Nightlife & many restaurants available in Inverness, 10 minutes drive. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers & families (with kids). Easy access to all transport links. We welcome everybody.
