Traditional stone cottage with perfect location

Built in 1873, Monawilline is one of the oldest properties on the sea front in Lamlash. The cottage is situated behind the main house which over looks the bay to Holy Isle. It has a traditional cosy living room with electric stove, separate dining room, fully equipped kitchen with hob/oven, fridge/freezer and microwave. The downstairs bathroom has a spacious shower with large relaxing rain forest shower head. The two upstairs bedrooms are double and a twin (or can be linked for a Kingsize).

Whether you're looking for a one night business stopover, a couple of nights to attend a wedding at the Brig O'Doon, or a self catering holiday break, Doonbank Cottage's Bothy offers an exclusive, flexible & private accommodation. The Bothy is a beautifully presented & spacious, one bed detached house. Set in 4 acres of woodland on the banks of the River Doon & forming part of Doonbank Cottage's woodland garden, it is a very peaceful and quiet location. One (medium sized) dog allowed.

Close by is Culzean Castle, the beautiful Ayrshire coast, Robert Burns Museum, the Dark Sky Park, Galloway Forest Park and Ayr Racecourse. There are also some world-class golf courses. Kirkmichael has an excellent pub, café, shop and bowling green.

Briarbank Cottage is located just off the main road in Lamlash, a 5 minute drive from Brodick Ferry Terminal and benefits from private parking and glorious views of Holy Island. It is the largest village on Arran and home to a golf club, a yacht club, a supermarket as well as the island’s hospital. From the pier you can take a ferry to Holy Isle . Walk along to Claughlands point where seals are often seen sunning themselves close to the shore.
