Herons is totally unique, a beautiful detached lodge situated on the banks of the River Thames. Beautiful interiors and the views are simply wonderful from sunrise to sunset. Herons is the perfect place to unwind and relax, just sit and watch the wildlife and the boats milling along the river. Nearby are the Thames Market towns of Wallingford, Henley and Abingdon and the beautiful surrounding countryside.The historic city of Oxford is only 8 miles away and Bicester Village is a 30 minute drive.

The Boathouse Stone Cottage

Located next to our working boathouse in the middle of Stratford-upon-Avon, with a charming outlook over the lawn to the river. A five minute walk over the footbridge to the theatre and the centre of town. Secluded private sunny patio with outdoor table and chairs, plus the riverbank to yourself in the evening. Relax in private luxury with a fantastic teak hot tub and award winning luxury swimming pool just feet from your door. Fitted with remote controlled privacy blinds which can be fully or partially openen. Underfloor heating is also fitted. This area is completely private and not shared with other guests.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature, a slice of heaven on a private island, exclusively for your use. The Island at Great farm is made up of an upturned boat for sleeping in, a socialable covered kitchen/bar with its own stove, and a private wood fired hot tub. The river Coln flows alongside, and the accommodation is reached by crossing a footbridge over the river. Walks stretch out in every direction, and the Cotswold towns of Fairford and Lechlade are both close by.

There is a separate open-plan lounge/kitchen, which is fully equipped including a dishwasher. The lounge has a comfortable, electric feet-up lay back sofa, with a Smart TV. We ensure our guests have some fresh groceries upon arrival., including tea, coffee, milk, cereal, bread, etc for a simple breakfast.
