Driftwood Cottage, Gower. A perfect beach getaway

Driftwood cottage is a compact and beautiful detached 18th century stone cottage, set in it's own small garden and based in the idyllic hamlet of Cwm Ivy in North Gower. A magical walk from the property leads through the Whitford National Nature Reserve to both Whitford Sands and Broughton Bay (both are within half a mile). The Gower peninsular offers an array of beautiful coastal walks, open grasslands, woodland and marsh walks. It also boasts some of the most spectacular beaches in the UK.

The house is situates in the centre of Mumbles villlage, just behind many boutique shops and restaurants. Everything you could possibly want is available just a short walk away! A family-friendly two bedroom maisonette conveniently located on the edge of Glynneath. Whatever brings you to the town, our place is ideal for those wanting to make the most of nearby attractions such as: Waterfall country (exactly 1 mile away), Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales, Pen-Y-Fan, Dan Yr Ogof caves, Penderyn Distillery etc. Dog-friendly with free on site parking for two cars, plenty of local amenities within walking distance such as the Co-op convenience & various takeaway outlets.

The iconic Mumbles Pier, Langland & Rotherslade Bay are within walking distance, and a short drive is Caswell Bay and the Gower Peninsula. We swapped our lovely Narrowboat on the Grand Union for a cosy, pet friendly chalet for two with a distinct Narrowboat feel. Ideal for surfers and walkers, small, but perfectly formed with all the romance of a live aboard by the seaside. This land locked chalet has everything you could possibly need, tucked away between the Mumbles Cricket Club and the world famous Wales Coastal path. Direct Private access to the Coastal Path nearby, at the top of the road for Guests and Residents.

Our Holiday Home is modern, cozy, benefits of SKY/wifi along with many other extras and definitely a home-from-home experience on our Gower Coast of natural beauty. It sleeps 6 plus availability of a travel cot if needed. Well behaved pets (2) also provided for. There is a log burner and starter packs are provided free from October to March. The garden is secure and backs onto the estuary where stunning sunsets and tidal changes can be photographed and watched.

It's a newly built house and is located in a quiet area of Burry Port. We are a short walk from the beautiful harbour and beaches and small shopping centre. There is a ramp for wheelchair and baby pram use to the side of front porch for entry into the property.
