You will be staying in a historic building that has been renovated into a beautiful two-bedroom loft style apartment. It has a full bath, living room, kitchen, dining, laundry & new Mattress as of 2025.

It has a view of Skull Camp mountain and you can swing on the front porch. Conviently located close to Raven Knob Scout Camp. Close to a stocked trout river, Fisher River. Located within minutes of I-77 and I-74. Local attractions include Mayberry, RFD and Pilot Mountain. Located 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway also.

We are near Walley's Gas Station, where you can take a squad car ride. Close to antique stores, Amish store, Wine bars, breweries and great restaurants. Experience the 'Mayberry' life and unwind. Mt Airy is welcoming and you will feel like family. We have 10 wineries within 10 miles of us. Our downtown is a shoppers paradise.

The Bear Den - Mt. Airy, NC

The Bear Den is centrally located in historic Mt. Airy. If desired it is a mile walk to downtown Mt. Airy, 1/2 mile walk to Veterans Park, 1 block from Mt. Airy High School (Home of the Granite Bears), 20 minutes to Pilot Mountain State Park and 40 minutes to Winston-Salem. The exterior colors, Navy Blue and White, are the colors of the Mt. Airy High School Granite Bears. The inside is cozy and has the feel of Mayberry. There is a spacious backyard and ample parking at The Bear Den. Enjoy!

The SheShed

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The SheShed has a million dollar view and is located 2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is at a 3000 ft elevation with vast views of the mountains and valleys. A hiker’s dream location with several hiking trails in the surrounding area. When not hiking you can visit the many vineyards or take a trip to the nearby towns to enjoy local shops, music and dining. This cabin is designed for a couple to get away and get back to nature.

Relax in the comfort of an old farmhouse With modern accommodations. Explore our 4 acres with outbuildings and large parking area that is camper, tag-a-long and livestock trailer friendly. Whether visiting the area or traveling through you find yourself in the heart of the Yadkin Valley just beyond the Blue Ridge Mountains. This area is known for it’s wineries, hiking, antiquing and the simple life and best of all will be returning to or never leaving our cozy farmhouse.
