Established in January 2025, Marjory’s Cottage House honors the rich heritage and enduring spirit of the home originally built in 1951 by Floyd L. Erdahl. Located on Vernon Street, the house was constructed from a Gamble Store Home Construction Kit at a cost of just $5,000—a testament to postwar ingenuity and craftsmanship. Today, Marjory’s Cottage House stands not only as a place of warmth and memory but also as a tribute to the legacy of a family deeply rooted in the fabric of its community.

The Shed Retreat

The Shed Retreat is a sacred space for anyone looking to shed their worries, fears, and busy schedules. Once a home for goats located in a secluded area on our property, it is now a peaceful garden oasis among the trees for those seeking a break from the norm. Inside, you can enjoy a cozy and relaxing place to lounge or rest. Outside, you can spend time around the fire pit, collect fresh eggs for breakfast, kayak on a nearby river, bike to local ice cream shops, or take a nap in a hammock.

Quaint 150-Year-Old Country Farmhouse

Located just outside of town, find your peaceful oasis relaxing in this spacious 150-year-old farmhouse. Gather for bonfires around the outdoor fire pit, lounge on the patio set, or enjoy a meal at our classic wooden picnic table under the shade of the property's lovely mature trees. The home’s cozy interior is equipped with high-speed fiberoptic WiFi for easy streaming or WFH. Enjoy the updated kitchen and bathroom, laundry room, and full separate office. Both bedrooms are located upstairs.

This stunning home has been a labor of love 4 me. My parents reside in Walnut Living when they are not in Florida ;) I am a designer/decorator so it has been a joy to bring this home to life for them and for you! This home is in a prefect location! It is just up the street from our beautiful downtown, dining, and shopping, as well as parks and our amazing River Walk.
