Harakeke Bed & Breakfast

Our separate and private semi self-contained bed & breakfast is a peaceful getaway. Soak in a hot tub under the stars or have a game of pool by a cosy fire in winter. This property has been built and the garden designed by us over the last 15+ years. We are more than happy to provide transport to/from the various restaurants in the local township of Rangiora, so you do not have to worry about having that nice glass of wine to go with your meal! Just off the Inland Scenic route linking to SHW1.

Silverstream alpaca farmstay is just 20 kilometres or 20 minutes drive north of Christchurch in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. We are only 10 minutes from Christchurch International Airport. Location close to Kaiapoi. Enjoy a peaceful stay at one of New Zealand's largest alpaca farms. There are beautiful gardens and lawns not to mention over 200 alpacas urgently needing your attention. Accommodation is available in two luxurious self contained cottages with full kitchen facilities.

With Rangiora and Christchurch a mere 10-25 mins drive there is plenty to do and see before relaxing in a tranquil country setting. Well behaved pets are welcome. Please note we have chickens and cats so care still needs to be taken

A beautiful guesthouse set on 10 acres of parklands. An electric gate greets guests leading up a tree lined drive to your own parking area with private entrance into the guesthouse. Enjoy a stroll in our gardens and see our working farm. We have sheep, chickens, pheasants a dog and cat. Enjoy dining indoors or on your private terrace outside. Fridge, microwave and toaster available for preparing simple meals. Continental breakfast using local produce is provided along with tea/coffee.

The Guest House

The Guest House is set in beautiful park like grounds, so you'd be forgiven for thinking you are miles away from civilisation, but it's only 5 minutes to Rangiora. It's a gardeners delight, and we encourage you to explore the grounds. You have full use of the house, including kitchen, seperate dining and a large lounge which boasts a fabulous log fire and 1970's architecture. As we also have dog boarding kennels next door, we are more than happy for you to bring your furry friend to stay.

Set on 10 acres, we have a herd of fallow deer, sheep and ponds with resident families of wild ducks. We are constantly adding native plants and trees to the setting. We have all the benefits of the countryside - peaceful open spaces, and ready access to the coastline, beaches, forests and rivers of North Canterbury.
