Quiet country surroundings with so much natural beauty. Scandinavian-style modern interior the barn has two levels combining elements of comfort and light. The Birch ply interior, wool carpet and heat pump create a warm and cosy vibe. The Barn is set in a rural landscape overlooking a lovely large pond inhabited by local birdlife. Approx 10-15 mins drive from Dunedin city centre and 3 mins to historic Port Chalmers and some of the best beaches and coastal scenery Otago has to offer all nearby.

Come and relax in a beautiful rural setting only 12 minutes from Dunedin Central. We only allow 1 booking at a time so if you book for a couple or a family of 10 you get the whole BnB to yourself. There is lots to do nearby such as the Country Market or the Orokunui Sanctuary. If you want to take a short drive there are amazing beaches with penguins, seals, sea lions, albatrosses and much more. Use us as a base and explore the museums, galleries and other wonderful heritage sights of Dunedin.

Glamis Cottage

Tucked away in beautiful Kōpūtai - Port Chalmers, Dunedin, is my historic 1882 one bedroom fully furnished apartment, a cosy retreat with all day sun! Relax on the veranda or visit interesting shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, and the supermarket, just a 10 minute walk away with the stadium being a ten minute drive. The surf beaches are a short drive away in all directions. Closer to the door step are walking tracks and fishing spots. Maybe bike Te Aka Ōtakākou our shared pathway.

Merton Park farmstay

We are a small self sufficient farm with friendly goats, donkeys, alpacas and cattle. We have free range chickens in the orchard and ducks on the pond. We grow much of our own fruit and vegetables. We have 87 acres of hillside you are welcome to explore. Right on the main road, but peaceful and private, we are only 30 minutes' drive from Dunedin city centre, and 10 minutes from delightful beaches, friendly villages, and a bird sanctuary.
