We love our family cottage: three generations have explored this beautiful part of Dorset, relaxed around the kitchen table and enjoyed the garden. We're 3-4 miles from Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove and a perfect jumping off point for walks, swimming, wildlife, castles, fossils, forts, beaches & cliffs. The kitchen is great for lazy breakfasts & relaxed dinners. The two living rooms & library provide plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing - board games, TV/videos, reading & relaxing.

A spacious and tranquil place to stay

A quiet, private space in the heart of a Dorset village, close to the Jurassic Coast. The recently-built Sika Lodge is set within the garden of a larger late Georgian property. It has a private entrance and accommodation on two floors. Durdle Door, Lulworth, Corfe Castle, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and Dorchester are all a short drive away, and are perfect for walking, fossil-hunting, shopping and eating out. Less than 5 minutes walk to mainline train station and bus routes.

Cobweb Cottage, Winfrith Newburgh

Cobweb Cottage is a 17th century thatched, traditional Dorset cottage on the Jurassic Coast in the little town of Winfrith Newburgh. It has been a happy holiday home for over 20 years, and played host to couples, families and friends from all over the world. Over the past few months it has been beautifully renovated under new ownership with two fresh bathrooms and kitchen, paint work and decoration alongside its original open fireplace, exposed brick and oak beams.

Between Dorchester, Wareham and Weymouth. With uninterrupted views over the stunning rolling hills of the Dorset countryside, the Yurt is set in 11 acres of Wynards Farm, a small holding. Get cosy with the log burning stove and wake up to a beautiful sunrise.

Gorgeous shepherd's hut in Dorset's water meadows

This is a gorgeous new shepherds hut adjoining a listed thatched cottage with a stream running through the garden and alongside the hut. The hut is quiet and peaceful being at the end of a small lane petering out into protected water meadows. The only noise to disturb you is bird song. Look out of your window and you see coots and ducks in the stream. Step straight into the water meadows and see herons and kingfishers. In a word, idyllic.
