Nestled in the woods, "Black Bear" cabin offers the best of both worlds. A relaxing country retreat yet close to everything. It is the perfect starting point to a downtown Asheville excursion, just 15 minutes away, and to an endless array of outdoor activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains. 3 miles away is the charming town of Weaverville with its quaint atmosphere, artisan shops and distinctive restaurants. The Doe Branch Cabin - Modern Mountain Retreat

Sense of Place. That is the inspiration here, at least in part. The cabin is situated on 12 private acres in a remote corner of Madison County, surrounded by national forest, streams, and clear mountain air. The property has a history of artist residents, and we encourage creatives of all types to come seek the inspiration found by those that came before. The town of Marshall, an artistic enclave, is 25-30 minutes away, and downtown Asheville is a 45-50 minute drive. Hiking and rafting nearby.

This cabin was constructed by hand in 2019 and is designed with both style and calm in mind. It is a perfect place for artists and writers to find inspiration or for guests who want to connect to nature by simply waking up with the trees. The cabin partly functions as an informal artist residency space for our friends and comrades and guest who stay will find it more as a home environment instead of a hotel. Come expecting simplicity and refreshing stay in the wooded landscape of WNC.

Charming cabin with amazing mountain views. House was built in 2021 and tastefully decorated. The bedroom has a beautifully handcrafted king size sleigh bed. Wake up every morning to the sunrise off two porches, coffee included. Living room has a brand new pull out sofa for extra sleeping room. On the side of the house there is a covered area with a grill and outdoor recreation area. Pets are allowed up to 25lbs and if left alone must be crated please. There is a $100 deposit for pets

Enjoy a coffee or craft beer in front of the toasty propane log fireplace or while listening to the sounds of native birds and wildlife on the back porch.
