Quince cottage is a gorgeous spacious historic house, nestled in a tree'd garden, a walk away from the centre of Wakkerstroom, all the restaurants, the Vlei & bird hides. It is separated from Apple Cottage by foliage so is completely private. With 2 double bedrooms, bathroom en suite, kitchen with dishwasher, dining area and lounge with fireplace. The property is fenced around the whole property not just the house and the gate is a farm gate, which may not be suitable for tiny dogs.

Sunbird Cottage is on a working farm 30km from Volksrust and Wakkerstroom Wetlands, it is a place to come and relax and recharge, we are off grid. There is great birding, walking, mountain biking and bass fishing on site, there are also kayaks for the dams. The cottage overlooks a gorge that goes down to the Slang River with an indigenous forest and has great views over the valley towards Amajuba Mountain and Battlefields for those interested in history.

A prime birding area, peaceful, quiet and easy walking distance to the village and it's variety of shops, resturant, pubs etc. Sweeping views of the wetland and mountains, perfect for bird and storm watching. Lush and green in summer, dryer in the winter months.
