Here you can get away from the business of life and recharge in nature, yet are so close to town. Hikes nearby and a great deck to just sit and let stress melt away as you listen to the sound of the river flow by.

The Fox Den – Cozy Suite Near River: STR-234

The Fox Den in South Main is next to the bouldering park and faces an actual fox den (which is how it got its name). It's a 2 minute walk to the Arkansas River where you’ll find miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. You'll also be just a block away from the South Main Square and only a short stroll from the shops and restaurants of downtown BV. The Den is a completely private suite attached to a main house. It has a separate entrance with a lockbox for convenient self-check in. STR-234

Our Riverfront Homestead on 20-ac (Owner Managed!)

Owner managed, with personal service! Warm, cozy, southwestern ranch home 100 feet from the South Arkansas river. We built it in 2014 on 20-acres with a private drive, 900' of riverfront with a trail, superb privacy with great views; its only 3.5-miles from downtown Salida and 18-miles from Monarch. We have a big garden, and chickens and ducks (fresh eggs in season!), and we're frequented by visits from deer, great-horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and sometimes wild turkeys and elk!

The "Dockhouse” at Lake Rivendell is a unique getaway for an individual or a couple to spend a few days relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature in a rural country setting. Taking walks, bird watching, fishing, paddle boarding/kayaking, ziplining, swimming, laying on the beach in season, enjoying s'mores around a fire on the beach, or just setting on the porch over the lake enjoying your favorite drink and the beauty of the lake, mountains and country surroundings.
