Sitting on the Historic Rideau River (World Heritage Waterway) great for small family's, couples, etc., boating, fishing, swimming at nearby beaches. Come enjoy fantastic sun sets while sitting on the dock. Just sit, relax, and watch the boats headed to the locks as you BBQ. Please note, it can get weedy in the front of the cottage for swimming.

It's location is steps from the downtown area and the beautiful Stewart Park. The kitchen is brand new as are the 2 queen size beds. The apartment is air conditioned, has wifi and cable tv with (Netflix etc). You will have the entire upstairs apartment with private entrance. Indoor parking for one vehicle is included. Very cozy and quiet.

Our house is a wonderful place to enjoy being on a lake. You will be staying in our home where we live with our cat when we do not have airbnb guests. When we have guests, we live in a tiny house in the backyard and are available if needed. There is no landline but cell phone service is good. Internet is sometimes slow. It is not a good fit for large groups who are noisy or families with very energetic children because we have close neighbours who enjoy peace and quiet.

The Gate House is a renovated 150 year old log building with 2 single beds, in floor heating, bathroom with shower & kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker, small fridge & microwave, dining & sitting area. A 2-3 min walk to the water and to the general store, Brown's Marina, Lockmaster Museum, the Mill Art Gallery, the Cataraqui Trail, Dorothy's Lodge and the Opinicon Resort. Your hosts also operate Rideau Tours and offer bike, kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard rentals onsite.

Peaceful setting on Stafford Bay. Great for fishing, canoeing, kayaking or just relaxing in the hammock. You can explore the Rideau Canal from Jones Falls to Upper Brewers without locking through. We have 2 canoes a paddleboat and 2 sit on top Kayaks ( one is a 2 seater) which you are welcome to use. You can launch your boat from the Main docks at Seeley's Bay or rent one from 2 local marinas.
