This home is in a posh property, in a brilliant location. The city's iconic attractions, sporting venues, galleries, and the Botanical Gardens are a short walk away. Local cafes, grocers, bars, and gyms allow guests to live like a local Melbournian .
There are many public transport options close to the apartment.
Melbourne Central Station is a 4-minute walk from the apartment: To walk to the station, just walk north on Elizabeth Street for a few minutes to LaTrobe St, and the station will be on your right.
From Melbourne Central Station you will have access to a number of light rail (tram) routes and railway lines - going all over the city. Go to the PTV website and use “Journey planner” to help you navigate around inner and outer Melbourne.
The apartment falls into the zone in which the free tram circles the city. The free tourist tram is the #35 (no Myki card needed), and this will take you both directions in a circle around the city to locations such as Southbank, Parliament Station and Southern Cross. The line also passes through Melbourne Central Station.
However, you’ll probably find yourself walking to most sights, as from the apartment you can easily visit all of central Melbourne's most famous attractions, such as Federation Square, Southbank, State Library of Victoria, The National Gallery of Victoria, Chinatown, The Crown Casino, acmi, Bourke Street Mall, and The Botanical Gardens.
*All public transport in Melbourne requires a Myki card (apart from the free tram route). For more information on myki please visit the PTV website. Myki cards are available from 7-11s as well as the stations, and some newsagents.
