Remote area that's about 15 min from Interstate 70. Quiet & peaceful w/minimal road traffic. In warm weather, you can fish in our pond or visit/fish nearby Ramsey Lake State Park. During the farming season you may hear tractors & combines. Amish in the area & a local Amish market. Go for walks in our wooded area. Relax on a private deck in the evening. Queen bed, full bed, as well as a couch w/matching loveseat. NOTE on pets: 1 small pet under 15 lbs. allowed: Please read our strict pet rules.

Find all of our Litchfield homes by searching "softstays" on the internet. The Chestnut House is filled with fine furniture and a large tv. There is no cable TV. Beds are new, 12" memory foam mattresses for added comfort. One bedroom has a king size bed, One bedroom is small but we went ahead and put a queen bed in it for best sleeping. Large oversized lot offers lots of room to walk your pets. There is a ring camera on the porch. You will hear trains. Two tracks run thru middle of town.

Our place includes a recently remodeled home on 10 Acres in the middle of a country setting. There is a large patio area overlooking a half acre pond (fishing is catch and release only) right out of the front door. The property includes cleared trails to explore on, large grassy areas, a gravel driveway with ample parking, and a propane BBQ and deck out the kitchen door. Also has a ramp on the backside for wheelchair accessibility.

Relax with the whole family in our cozy Little Home located in Litchfield IL. A great place to visit with many restaurants and attractions to see. We are one mile off of Interstate 55 at Exit 52. One hour drive to St Louis Airport and 45 min. drive to Springfield IL.
