THE SPACE
The living room, dining area and kitchen are open to each other for a bright, airy feel; the long dining table is surrounded by Eames-inspired chairs, and the sleek kitchen conceals a full range of equipment behind glossy white cabinets. The apartment’s master bedroom has a king bed and bright wooden window with beautiful solid wooden window shutters. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be joined to become a super king bed. Each bedroom has traditional features like beautiful solid wooden floors alongside with edgy modern stools and vintage lamps. For larger parties, there’s also a double bed in the living room space.
One sleek and stylish bathroom fully equipped with shower, fresh towels, slippers, hair-dryer and luxury Portuguese toiletries.

During your stay, enjoy Cable TV and Wi-Fi access. The apartment is fully equipped with Washer and Dryer, and Dishwasher.
On hot summer nights, enjoy the gentle breeze of the ceiling fans.
Even the little guests were not forgotten, by all means. Cot, high-chair, toys, books, bathtub and even a stroller are provided for our little guests to have the best time. Plus, at Old Stone Flats, the little guests up to 3 years old are free.

Shuttle service is available on request.
For bookings made directly through our website “oldstoneflats”, we offer a pick-up service from the airport to Old Stone Flats. Guests staying minimum 4 nights.
We also have available upon request, a stroller, baby car seat (up to 13kg) and booster seat.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast basket is available upon request. Menus starting at EUR 10 per person. Orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance.
We offer the breakfast to reservations staying a minimum of 6 nights.
DAILY CLEANING SERVICE
Daily cleaning service has the cost of EUR 15/ per day on week days, and EUR 30/ per day on the weekends and holidays. If you request this service, please advise us the latest upon check-in.
BABYSITTER
We work with a team of professional certified babysitters, fully prepared to work with children of all ages, and of all nationalities. Service is available upon request.
The apartment is fully for rent and you won't be sharing the space with anyone else.
The building has elevator, which makes the access for people with reduced mobility easy, however be aware that there is one step to enter the building.

The building is perched on Rua de São, one of the main streets heading down to the Douro River. This quiet neighbourhood is home to Michelin-starred restaurants, coffee shops, terraces, museums, pharmacies, and quaint, traditional shops.
HOW TO GET TO OLD STONE FLATS
Whether if you’re arriving by plane or by train, the best way to get to the Old Stone Flats is either by Metro or by car.

ARRIVING BY PLANE
The car ride from the airport to Old Stone Flats is between 25 min to 50 min, depending on the time of the day and the traffic. You can choose between booking a transfer with us, calling a taxi or calling a Uber. If you decide to rent a car at the airport, please be advised that the parking in Ribeira is difficult and expensive. Plus, you won’t need a car in Porto.
Transfer service is available upon request.
Price per car for 4 people is EUR 30. The price for a mini van up to 8 people is EUR 60.

If you choose to use a Taxi, please be aware that the price can vary from EUR 25-50, depending on the driver and the route he chooses to make. The correct price should be more than EUR 30, but we’ve had already guests that payed EUR 50.
Another option is to use UBER. You can use our promotion code to have EUR 5 credit. The cost of a trip between the Airport and Old Stone Flats is approximately EUR 20 - 30.
If you choose to use the Metro, the ride is between 36 min to 1h30, depending on the time of the day.
You must go to the Metro terminal in the Airport and buy 1 ticket per person. The ticket Andante (http://www.linhandante.com/index.asp) is rechargeable and has the cost of EUR 0,60. The Andante can be used in the Metro and Bus, and it can be used for 1h15 (Z4 zone)
At the Airport catch the Metro in the direction of Trindade and then change to the yellow line in the direction of São Bento, it’s a 36 minutes’ ride, plus 5 min walking down to the flat’s.
The ticket Andante 24h has the cost of EUR 6,40 for the zone Z4 and it can be used for 24 hours.
The Andante Tour 1 Day and the Andante Tour 3 Days cost EUR 7 and EUR 15 and can be used in all zones.
If you choose to rent a car at the airport, please note that the waiting time to deal with the car rental will be about 2 to 3 hours and that you must inform us your arrival time to the apartment, our waiting tolerance is 30 minutes, because we have other customers scheduled.
Also, note that in Portugal most of the tolls are automatic and you have 5 working days to pay tolls, otherwise Rent-a-car will charge you fines.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN
If you are arriving to Porto by train, you’re arriving to the main Station – Campanhã. You can buy tickets online at CP, and you don’t need to print them.
The best way to get to Old Stone Flats from the Campanhã Train Station is to catch a train heading to São Bento Train Station. You don’t need to buy a ticket and the trip is around 5 minutes between stations.
Once you arrive at São Bento Train Station, go down the Mouzinho da Silveira Street and turn left when you arrive to Rua de São João. From São Bento Train Station to Old Stone Flats is only 5 minutes walking.

ARRIVING BY CAR
If you put in the GPS Waze or Google, the address Old Stone Flats Ribeira, the address indicated is the correct one.
Whether if you’re arriving from south (A1) or from north (A3 or A4), exit in Campo Alegre in VCI. In the traffic lights turn right to Rua do Campo Alegre and in the next traffic light turn right again. Go down the street and in the traffic lights turn right towards Rua D. Pedro V.
At the end of Rua D. Pedro V, in the traffic lights, turn left and then you’ll have the river on your right side. Go straight ahead until you see a garden with a sculpture in the middle and a red Market on the left (Praça do Infante), and then turn left towards the market. The next street on your right is Rua de São João.
PARKING IN RIBEIRA
Please be advised that we don’t recommend coming with a car to the Ribeira district. It can be very difficult to move around and parking in this area can be complicated and expensive.
STREET PARKING
The street parking costs EUR 1 per hour (between 8 AM and 8 PM) and must be recharged every 2 hours. Between 8PM and 8AM on week days and all day during the weekends and holidays, it’s free to park on the street. To use the street parking you will need to use the app Telpark, that way you can recharge your ticket every 2 hours.
PARKING LOTS
There are 4 parking lots close by. The cheapest one and also the one where usually it’s not fully occupied, it’s the Parking Lot of São Bento Railway (EUR 10/day) and it’s 6 min waking distance from Old Stone Flats. It’s open air and to enter this parking you have to go through Loureiro Street and do a U turn to enter the parking.
The Infante Parking Lot, is an underground parking, just 5min walking distance and the cost is EUR 27 per day. For the Infante, Cardosas or Clérigos Parking Lots, you can book the ticket online at Parclick, but be aware that they only reserve 5 places for pre-bookings and it can happen that when you arrive the park is full.
Another option is the Alfândega Parking lot, the price is also EUR 27 per day and it’s 8 minutes walking distance from us.
The apartment is located on the heart of Ribeira, the most touristic place of Porto, therefore, if you're travelling by car, be aware that parking in this area is quite difficult and might become a little bit expensive.

CITY TAX: EUR 2 Per Person
Dear guest, please note that starting on March 1st of 2018, a city tax of EUR 2 per person and per night must be charged to all the guests sleeping in Porto.
This value is not included in the accommodation price. Anyone older than 13 years (inclusive), staying a night in Porto, pays the tax per night, per person for a maximum of seven (7) straight nights per person and per stay (maximum amount of EUR 14 per guest).
