Design a Venetian silkscreen at a historic workshop

Welcome to Fallani Venezia, the workshop my father opened in the 1960s, which now serves as a hub for local and international artists to experiment with the age-old printing technique of serigraphy, or screen printing. • We’ll begin with a tour of the workshop and its history, and dive into the craft of artistic serigraphy. • I’ll walk you through the entire screen-printing process, from preparing the screen and mixing colors to transferring the image and drying the final print. • Roll up your sleeves and put your inner artist to work! You’ll create your own two-color print on two different colored papers. The Venice-inspired design you’ll print is created exclusively for our workshop by Anita, a local illustrator. When our day of artistic expression is done, I’ll mark the prints with our workshop’s embossing stamp as a memento of your time with us.

Private tour of an artist's Murano glassmaking studio

Visitors to Murano, the “glass islands” in the Venetian Lagoon, often arrive with a preconceived idea of glass. But I want to show you how it can be entirely different from what you expect. We’ll explore glass as a medium for critical reflection, irreverent humor, and innovation. • I’ll show you around the gallery where I display my glass jewelry and sculptures, and discuss the long history of the glassmaking craft on Murano. • Head back to my workshop, where I’ll demonstrate how I transform solid glass into liquid and shape it into a wearable art piece. • Share a glass of wine or a cup of coffee afterward, and I’ll answer your questions and offer my thoughts on contemporary glass in Murano. Step back in time with me to explore the grandeur of Venetian elegance on a tour of my home, Palazzo Nani Bernardo, and its enchanting secret garden. Born and raised in this 16th-century palace, and I have dedicated my life to preserving and sharing my family’s legacy. • We’ll begin in the palace’s secret garden—one of the largest private green spaces in Venice—which has been recognized as a must-see landmark by outlets including the BBC, Elle Decor, and Le Figaro. Venetian mosaics have been renowned for centuries, and my partner and I at Artefact Mosaic are dedicated to keeping this beautiful craft alive. In this two-hour workshop at our studio, you’ll make a mosaic inspired by the art in St. Mark’s Basilica. • We’ll begin by introducing you to mosaic-making techniques and tools, staying true to the craft as it was practised in the Byzantine era. • You’ll learn how to use a mosaic hammer to hand-cut marble tesserae, and then select the colors of Murano glass that you’d like to use. We’ll work with the same glass tiles used to restore the basilica, including its iconic gold tiles. • We’ll offer guidance as you create a small mosaic. You’ll learn new artistic skills, deepen your appreciation for this ancient craft, and take away your very own mosaic to remember Venice by.

Discover the centuries-old craft of Burano lace-making

This island of Burano, known for its lace-making tradition since the 1500s, has long been a hub of exquisite craftsmanship. Join me at Atelier Martina Vidal, where we'll show you how Burano lace is made and guide you through our family's private collection of antique lace. • One of our skilled artisans will demonstrate Burano lace-making techniques, showing you the intricate steps of creating Venezia and Burano stitches. Guests will be guided towards the production of some simple stitches on a small lace warp (orditura). The artefacts made will become souvenirs of the visit to the Atelier. • Then I'll lead you on a tour of our family museum, which displays antique work, and our atelier, where we display our latest collections. • We'll conclude our visit on the Atelier terrace, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Burano's colorful houses and the Venice Lagoon. I'll be happy to answer all of your questions about my family's four generation tradition of craftsmanship, and I'll share recommendations for other must-see places on Burano to explore afterward.

Craft a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry inspired by Venetian architecture in this hands-on maker workshop at my studio. • Begin our journey in a tranquil garden surrounded by historic charm, where I’ll share my design philosophy and explain my sustainable techniques. • Learn how to use repurposed industrial materials like aluminum chains and steel springs, and explore how they can be disassembled and transformed to create something light beautiful. • Using these materials, design and craft a quadrilobo (quatrefoil), the iconic Gothic motif adorning many Venetian landmarks. It can be worn as an earring, a keychain, or a brooch, or used as a personal keepsake. You’ll leave with new skills in Venetian craftsmanship, and a unique handcrafted piece of wearable art.

穆拉诺玻璃体验工作坊

I workshops consistono in un'ora e mezza di lavoro e divertimento divisi in due parti. La prima prevede l'uso di una piastra trasparente in vetro dove gli ospiti realizzeranno una figura con pezzi di vetro di Murano, chiamati graniglia, che verrà poi cucinato in forno. Il vetro si fonderà e la figura realizzata rimarrà all'ospite. La seconda parte, consiste in una fase dimostrativa da parte del Maestro e successivamente una prova pratica degli ospiti della lavorazione del vetro di Murano. Gli ospiti lavoreranno il vetro con la fiamma e proveranno la piacevole sensazione dell'antica lavorazione a lume. I workshop sono ideali anche per famiglie con bambini sopra ai 12 anni, che adoreranno la magia del vetro. Altre cose da tenere a mente I lavori terminati nella prima parte del workshop, verranno cotti nel forno per circa 3 ore, mentre gli oggetti realizzati con la fiamma saranno pronti dopo 2 ore di raffreddamento. Il tutto sarà consegnato il giorno stesso dopo 2/3 ore o il giorno successivo in accordo con i clienti. Durata Workshop: 1,5 ore.

First, click on our profile and view over 200 reviews of my work. Absolutely impossible to be in Venice and not have good photos with at least 3 landmarks: Saint Mark area, the hidden streets with famous gondola boat and Rialto Bridge. I have therefore created an experience that will bring you the best memories with these three Venice icons. We will take a short group walk in the St. Mark area, from where we will also enjoy a great view of Canal Grande. During the excursion, we will stop at some strategic locations to take hidden photos. It is important to remember that this is a shared experience and that multiple people share at the same time. If you would like a private photo shoot, I must let you know. We will do 250 photos and 70 of this will be edit with Adobe Lightroom. You can receive 70 photos by email after 4 working days.

Our experience is suitable for those who really want to test themselves with the production of glass. Not a quick taste, but the entry into a reality made of contemporary art and glass production by a duo of artists specialized in teaching and relationality. We will welcome our guests in the Murano studio, where many of our crafts and contemporary art works are exhibited. After a first presentation of what we do, we will illustrate to the guests the technique practiced by Andrea, the lampworking of the glass, which is carried out with a small flame and which is used to produce small glass objects. After a first demonstration made by Andrea, in which the glass rods will melt to show how small objects are produced, the guests will be guided towards the production of some simple glass elements (small colored beads). The artifacts that guests will be able to produce can be brought home. Other things to note: The experience is suitable for both individuals and small groups of maximum 4 - 6 people (if more contact us to find a specific solution). Experience is recommended from the age of 14. The languages in which the experience is performed are English and Italian. If there are special language requirements (French or Spanish) you should contact us before to organize. Punctuality is recommended so as not to create inconvenience to other guests.

This tour includes “curse words” gore and violence, I do not sugar coat the realities of our past world. Please bare this in mind when booking if you are accompanied by children. Please also understand this tour cannot be PG rated if accompanied by children in a public group I heavily advise that you book privately when bringing anyone who might need the graphic details to be removed. Children under the age of 11 years old are not permitted on the public experience. This experience is designed to stir your curiosity for the dark side of our collective story.

Juliet Secretary for a Day

We will welcome you together with my helpers at Juliet Club, a cozy space in the heart of Verona where everyday Juliet Secretaries work. Here I will tell you more about the story of Romeo and Juliet and how the tradition of the letters to Juliet started. After a visit to the archive - we have more than 200,000 archived letters here and we receive new ones every day! - you’ll be ready to become a Juliet Secretary. According to your native language, we will give you some of the letters addressed to Juliet. You will open them and read them discovering love stories from every corner of the world. Then we will have some coffee and we will discuss what to answer. Now it's your turn to write a letter! Signed and sealed, the letters are ready for delivery. Other things to note: Juliet Club receives letters from all over the world written in dozens of different languages. I will try to give you at least 1 letter in your native language but this is not always possible, in particular when it comes to less spoken languages. Becoming Juliet’s Secretaries can really be one of the most thrilling and moving experiences in the matter of love and will help to support this unique tradition.

Partiremo dalla Chiesa di San Lazzaro dei Mendicanti nel lato nord della città e costeggiando l'Arsenale di Venezia andremo a visitare il sestiere di Castello, una delle parti più antiche della città. Faremo una piccola sosta davanti la chiesa di San Pietro di Castello per un aperitivo e poi si prosegue fino alla parte sud della città dove avremmo una vista panoramica di San Marco, Lido di Venezia e delle piccole isole della laguna sud. Rientreremo poi nei canali di Castello fino a tornare nel punto di incontro. MPORTANTE: Lagoonexperience é un progetto dell' associazione Venice Sport Center. The tour will last approximately 85 minutes. The main aim of this experience is to take you away from all of the overcrowded areas and to let you admire and appreciate the real Venice in a more intimate and fun environment, guided by a native Venetian! Be prepared to be WOWED by the mysterious and romantic atmosphere that surrounds the canals and gives to the city a unique touch that not many people get to experience. During the tour I am going to guide you through the non-turistic areas where just mostly locals go and I will tell you some Venice history and stories that are part of the local culture. However, during the tour we will also pass in front of all the famous historical sites like: St. Mark Square, bridge of sights, Doge Palace and Salute Curch. Other things to note If you easily get seasick, this might not be recommended for you, but keep in mind that among canals rough sea almost impossible to find. Remember to go to the toilet before getting onboard!
